To Be Without Guile

By Elle
We learn to love, or not, through our life's experiences.

Psalm 32:1-2

"Blessed is the one whose fault is taken away, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes not guilt, in whose spirit there is no guile."

We learn to love, or not, through our life's experiences. When we are with our family, friends, neighbors and coworkers, we learn to be patient, or not.  We can choose to to be proactive, and look for ways to help others, or simply react to whatever comes our way.

The word "guile" means sly or cunning but with an implied deviousness.  If we live our lives without prayer, and always reacting to others' actions and words, we may become like this.  It is important that we take time to acknowledge our own faults, and ask God for forgiveness.  When we are not carrying the burdens of guilt and guile, we can be free to love and learn and see more clearly the beauty around us.
