(Vatican Radio) Vatican Weekend for May 7, 2016 features a report on the words of Pope Francis during his weekly general audience in Saint Peter's Square. This is followed by a couple of programmes relating to the pontificate of Pius XII with clips of archive sound of the voice of this twentieth century Pope.The first relates to some of the orphans of World War II who were received by Pius XII in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace. In the second programme you can hear echoes of the Jubilee Year of 1950 as well as of the more personal side to Pius XII.
