(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis on Thursday met separately with the Mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, and the President of the Region of Lazio, Nicola Zingaretti.It is tradition for the Bishop of Rome to meet with local officials during the month of January to exchange New Year greetings.The meetings were private, and no official statement was released afterward.
