HD Radio is an emerging technology, and will continue to grow and improve in time. Listeners that use an HD radio will experience enhanced listening with CD-like audio and a greater choice of programming within the same audio channel. Listeners who are tuned to the main 90.5 HD-1 channel that live or travel on the fringe of the 90.5 FM coverage area may experience a slight fluctuation in the signal as the radio shifts from analog to digital, and back. This is normal for those on the fringe of the coverage area, or for those with poor antenna reception. The key to good reception is the type of receiver and antenna placement. When shopping for an HD Radio, look at the receiver carefully to note the type of antenna as well as the speaker system on the receiver. Like any traditional FM radio, the sound is only as good as the reception and speakers.
