Who are the people with whom you spend the most time? I have children in college and entering college so this summer has been special to me because I have seen how quickly the time flies when these young adults are paving their own paths and choosing their life's journeys. I want the time spent with them, even when it becomes only a few minutes to be quality time. I looked at who I spend the most hours with and asked friends the same question and we discovered the most time spent is not always the ones with whom we are closest. Our time ticks by with coworkers, friends, or even those cyber friends who take the minutes off our schedules. And some are alone most of the time.
Let's treasure our time today! Make time to rest and enjoy a few minutes with those we love and treasure. If we have loved ones who have passed, or moved on, honor their memory and their lives with a special prayer. Enjoy moments of reflection on a special memory you enjoyed together. Surely then that's where our heart will be, and your peace and joy will follow.
