Encountering someone who's truly kind is such an uplifting experience. They seem to radiate warmth and empathy so much that you start to think, "Well, they must be a Christian... I wonder where they go to church?". Your train of thought stops suddenly when you learn that they aren't a Christian at all. How can it be that someone who treats people with such Christ-like concern is not a believer? The answer is alluded to in the verse above and within it's context. See, the disciples were concerned because someone outside of their group was apparently casting out demons in the name of Christ. Jesus doesn't share their unease and in fact seems to welcome the practice. Even someone who is not a believer, can still please God by fulfilling His will. Of course, it would be better if they were to know the one who's will they are fulfilling and encounter His grace head-on through a relationship with Jesus. But you'd be surprised how much you can learn about living in Christ from those outside the fold. God may be trying to teach you through them.
