John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
Do not let what you do solely define you. You should know who you are first. Then you can be at peace with who you are, and what you do will stem from who you are.
If you are working two jobs solely to pay bills and feed your family, then don't let those two jobs solely define you. Remember, you are a child of God, a dad or mom, or sister or whoever. Pray and recognize who you are. We get so busy that we don't recall how important it is to know ourselves, love ourselves, and be at peace with who God made us to be.
I can be described something like this: a busy mom who also works at a radio station. Someone could say I workout "religiously". Driving my kids around, grocery shopping, talking on the air and riding my bike are the activities, and without those activities then who am I? I am still a mom and I like to listen to uplifting positive music, talk with people, and reflect on the spiritual. I really enjoy being out in God's beautiful outdoors, no matter the weather conditions.
So what I do, my activity, comes from who I am, who God made me to be. I would say I am at peace, that my heart isn't troubled, even though I still have very real struggles and worries. But deep in my heart I am not afraid.
Spend time today and reflect on who you are, why you are here, and where God wants you to be.
