Sharing the Gospel is risky. The fact that it is "good news" doesn't exactly mean that everyone will recognize it as such. The message of Jesus is not for the faint of heart and those who accept it will face resistance. Specifically, this verse seems to be talking about the forces and people hostile to the Gospel but sometimes the "wolves" are our own desires. The tendency we have to sin and seek temporal pleasure can be downright dangerous to our mission to follow Him. However, the great news is that we have a mighty shepherd watching over us who's vigilance and power is matchless; and since His Spirit lives in us, He is always on watch and always close to us. In that truth, there is freedom. We should be vigilant against the "wolves" but we don't have to fear them. The Shepherd is always greater.
