Do you ever wonder why some people are talented in so many things? I used to play ball with a guy who seemingly was great at every sport. I mean he was good at everything from running, fielding throwing, catching, hitting a golf ball, tennis ball and even bowling. God gave him a great gift, and could he ever use it. On the field or court, he could do nothing wrong. Off the field, well, that was a different story. He was socially awkward. He had trouble communicating, holding a job or being accepted.
A baseball team is made up of pitchers, outfielders, infielders, players that hit for power, some for average, and some that are speedy runners. All have talents to share to make the team better, to succeed during the season. Most workplaces are the same. Many are specialists in certain areas of the company. Everyone shares their particular talents for the good of the cause.
Life is the same. We are all called to make our world, our society, our church, our families a better place. If we don't share the talents we have, then we are not sharing God's gifts. Sometimes talents can be hidden. When you get a chance, volunteer for something at church or for a non-profit in the community. You may be surprised at the talents that surface.
