For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, virtue with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with devotion, devotion with mutual affection, mutual affection with love.
I think I know what's missing in our conversation about God these days. Love! It seems to me right now that Christians are known more for what we stand against than what we stand for. Everywhere I turn there is some headline about how the Christian community is condemning something. I think that our community of believers need to remember that everything we do should lead to love. Notice that Peter takes us from faith to love, not from faith to self righteous indignation. How can I better use my faith to love those around me today? Even if I don't agree with their politics of lifestyle!
