Battling against our fleshy selves is one of the hardest parts of being a Christian. The fight against the part of us that wants to go our own way and follow our own plan is a constant one. But learning to die to our desires isn't something that sounds pleasant to many in our culture. We're often given the opposite message by much of our media. However, learning to live for Him in spite of our desires is also one of the most fulfilling parts of being a follower of Jesus. It's such a beautiful paradox! To truly live, we must learn to die. Is it difficult? You bet it is! However, it's definitely worth it. In fact, it's one of the most 'worth it' things you will ever do. Learning to do this will bear fruit not only in your own life but fruit that can change our world for the better.
