Forgiveness of sins"Have you ever been to reconciliation, and had a great experience and been forgiven for your sins, and then later had a hard time forgiving yourself? Why is that? Why is it that God can forgive us, and tell us we're starting over. He can eliminate the past and say focus on the future, and yet in our humanity we can say, "I don't know, I'm having a hard time forgiving myself Lord." He reminds us in Luke 9:62, "No one puts their hand to plow and looks back, and is fit for the kingdom of God." If you were riding in God's car right now, there would not be a rear-view mirror. After reconciliation God is not concerned with where we've been, but with where we're going. The only thing about a mirror in a car that should remind us of God, is that little warning on the side-view mirror, God is closer than He appears."
